Blitz & Krieg Quake 3 skins (Mac and PC)

This is an add-on pak file for Quake 3 which provides a couple of vampire Nazi themed skins and bots for the Keel player model. They were put together with Photoshop 5.5, BBEdit Lite 4 and PakRat 0.8.1a. This is the second Q3 skin I've produced, the first was done for a tutorial in MacFormat issue 105.

iMac icons (Mac)

These iMac icons were drawn in Iconographer for a tutorial that appeared a while ago in MacFormat magazine (I can't remember which issue). Their coloured backs are actually transparent. The icons are suitable for use under Mac OS 8 and 9.

To apply an icon highlight it in the Finder and select File > Get Info. In the window that opens click on the icon picture and select Edit > Copy (command C) to copy it to the clipboard. Close the info window and then select the file, folder, disk or application you want to apply the icon to. Get info on it, select it's icon picture and then use Edit > Paste (command V) to paste in the new icon.

MintE Kaleidoscope scheme (Mac)

I made this simplistic Kaleidoscope scheme while learning how to use Designer's Studio, a shareware WYSIWYG editor. MintE has only been tested with Kaleidoscope 1.5 but should work with later versions.
